Applicant Information

The Dermatology Residency Program at Broward Health Medical Center (BHMC) has two residency positions to fill. Our program received ACGME accreditation in April 2017 and is open to candidates eligible for ACGME training programs.

During the Fall of 2018, we will be interviewing both allopathic and osteopathic candidates for the following:

  • Two (2) categorical internship plus dermatology residency positions to enter as PGY-1 July 2019 for internship and subsequently as dermatology residents the following year July 2020.
    • Tracks to apply to in ERAS: Preliminary (P) Track with the Transitional Year Program first AND THEN for the Advanced (A) Track with the Dermatology Residency Program. If an applicant matches to both positions, then they would have their full training taken care of (1 year with TY and 3 years with DERM).
      • Match Details: NRMP Match 2 Positions OPEN for the Advanced (A) Track)/PGY-2 Dermatology Program in 2020 (Program Code: 1892080A0)
    • Please Note: It is possible to match into a different Transitional Year Program at a separate institution and match into our Dermatology Residency Program.

To be considered for an interview, all interested applicants must apply through ERAS – we should be listed as “Broward Health Medical Center.” The portal to apply opens on September 5, 2018.  All COMPLETE applications must be submitted through ERAS no later than 11:59 PM on November 15, 2018. Applicants must also register for the NRMP Match which opens on September 15, 2018. The program is registered for only the NRMP Match for the 2020 Start Year. Interviews will take place between the months of November – January.
